Job summary

St. James Healthcare Center, LLC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in New York to deliver therapy under an OT’s supervision, focusing on geriatric, long-term care patients and documenting progress weekly.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure best patient-centered care, maintain timely documentation, and adhere to scheduled hours while contributing to professional rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervising OT via documentation.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to shift schedules.
