Prn Physical Therapy PC seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in New York. The COTA will assist with patient documentation and coordinate care within the therapy team.

Qualifications

• Administers treatment plans according to Occupational Therapist directives.
• Maintains accurate patient documentation and communicates changes in progress.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates skill in selecting and applying occupational therapy techniques.
• Maintains patient dignity and rapport during treatment.
• Ensures correct precautions and contraindications are followed.
• Provides accurate and timely patient records and documents equipment/home programs as needed.
• Communicates with physicians, POA, nurses, therapists and family as appropriate.
