Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers in New Jersey seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to implement OT programs and provide treatments to residents under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist. The position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental & vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k), holiday pay and PTO, with overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Provides individualized occupational therapy treatments including activities of daily living and range of motion exercises.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the Occupational Therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under supervision.
• Works with rehabilitation team to develop programs matching residents' needs and abilities.
• Maintains documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends and contributes to resident care and staffing meetings.
• Cleans, maintains and reports equipment repair needs.
• Ensures residents and families receive high-quality care in a compassionate atmosphere.
