Job summary

WeCare Centers in Mercer, PA, is seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of an OTR/L, you will implement therapy plans, assist residents with daily activities, and educate on home exercise programs, using equipment to improve function.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.
• Licensed/Certified as PA COTA.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Work with OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select effective activity programs.
• Coordinate OT with other therapeutic activities.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities for residents.
• Assist residents in daily activities.
• Educate residents on equipment to aid daily function.
• Report residents' progress to the OTR/L.
• Document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and equipment use.
