Job summary

WeCare Centers at Sugar Creek Care Center in Franklin, PA, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support residents under OT supervision. You will help establish rehabilitation plans, select effective activity programs, and coordinate therapy with the rehab team to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of PA.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs.
• Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities.
• Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities.
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Report the Resident’s progress to the OTR/L.
• Responsibly and accurately document treatments and outcomes in rehab software.
• Assist in educating patients with home exercise programs and use of equipment.

Skills
