Job summary

Sierra Valley Rehab Center in Porterville, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time position. You will work under the supervision of an OT to deliver treatment plans and support patient recovery in a clean, patient-focused setting.

You will document care, coordinate with nursing and therapy teams, and participate in discharge planning. Applicants must hold a California COTA license in good standing and be proficient with Casamba and PointClickCare.

Qualifications

• Current California COTA licensure in good standing.
• Knowledge of Casamba and PointClickCare preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients as directed by the OT and care plan.
• Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and recertifications per regulatory and OT Board requirements.
• Communicate with the OT, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care and progress.
• Instruct patients, family members, and staff on therapeutic maintenance and discharge programs.
• Participate in discharge planning and in-service training for facility staff.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning therapy area.
• Report equipment issues and ensure proper use and care of therapy tools.
• Support and help train Restorative Aides as needed.
