Job summary

Sandstone of Tucson is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team at a beautiful SNF in Tucson, AZ. Flexible scheduling and a supportive team await you.

You will treat patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, maintain productivity, and document care per regulatory guidelines. You will also instruct families and nursing staff on restorative/home programs and communicate progress with the supervisor and health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate OTA program completion and current licensure as OTA.
• State licensure process completed for Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain productivity as directed by supervisor and clinical needs.
• Record clinical documentation according to guidelines.
• Record daily treatment charges per billing guidelines.
• Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with supervisor and health team.

Treat patients as directed by licensed Occupational therapist. Demonstrate a positive attitude and team building approach with all patients, clients and team members. Maintains productivity standard as determined by supervisor and clinical needs. Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Treat patients according to treatment plan. Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines. Record daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines. Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs as directed by staff therapist. Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE

Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Occupational Therapy Assistants

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Current registration/licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant Maintain documentation of supervision per state guidelines
