Job summary

Orchard View Post Acute in Lewiston, Idaho is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our full-time rehabilitation team. You will treat residents under the supervision of a licensed OT and help them regain independence in daily activities.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited OTA program degree and a current COTA license, communicates clearly with staff and families, and enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-centered post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Post-acute or skilled nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Help residents improve their strength, mobility, coordination, and daily living skills.
• Encourage and motivate residents throughout their recovery.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with therapists, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Contribute to a positive and encouraging rehabilitation experience.
