Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Winter Haven, FL is hiring a Sewing Tech to create, repair and maintain costumes for the Wardrobe and Entertainment Costumes. You will manage records, keep costumes clean, and support park shows with skilled garment work.

The role requires experience in costuming, strong sewing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends may apply; join a team that keeps our park costumes vibrant and ready

Qualifications

• Experience in costume construction and garment making in theatre/park settings.
• Proficient hand sewing and machine operation.
• Knowledge of textiles, washing and ironing.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and repair costumes as needed
• Maintain computer records
• Maintain costume cleanliness and repair
• Provide excellent customer service to employees
• Build new Costumes for Entertainment Shows
• Alter Entertainment Costumes to fit Actors/Actresses
• Hem and prepare Wardrobe for MCs
• Assist with repairs on character costumes
• Stock control and inventory for Wardrobe Room
• Assist at Wardrobe/Uniform counter
• Perform other duties as assigned by Costume/Wardrobe Manager
• Ensure sewing equipment is clean and in working order
