Job summary

Gloucester County Institute of Technology seeks certificated staff for performing arts and a variety of positions. The role focuses on the visual appearance of actors, costume coordination, fittings, and wardrobe maintenance across productions.

You will measure students, acquire costumes, manage cleaning, and support technical rehearsals to ensure costumes function on stage. Salary is $1,750.00 with start date 08/01/2026; deadline to apply 07/24/26.

• Responsible for the visual appearance of the actors (clothes, shoes, hats, purses, canes, parasols, jewelry, wigs, makeup, etc.)
• Ensure compatibility of costumes, including those not worn (corsets, hoops, boning, character elements such as padded stomachs, etc.)
• Collaborate with the director on the vision for character costumes
• Acquire needed costumes through building, renting, borrowing, or buying
• Measure students for proper fittings
• Create costume tracking for each character
• Dry clean or wash all articles of clothing before returning during strike
• Attend technical rehearsals to ensure all pieces work for the actors
