Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, required.
• Classified as a Junior or Senior, preferred.
• Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
• Additional emphasis on costing accounting (material, labor, and overhead).
• Computer skills including ERP systems, reporting tools, and intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables), Word, and Outlook.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in research and analysis pertaining to standard cost integrity.
• Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments to resolve various problems.
• Responsible for data understanding to accounting and other basic financial systems, and supplying data and basic financial records for reports.
• Performs cost and variance analysis tasks.
• Understands manufacturing processes and documents them in detail to understand cost impacts.
• Works with Purchasing to understand supplier pricing impacts to financials.
• Assist with month-end close procedures.
• Demonstrates good attendance and reliability to support customers and coworkers.
• Completes goals/projects on time or ahead of schedule.
• Responds to work assignments with cooperation and availability.
• Follows through and meets commitments.
