Job summary

Withum is seeking a Cost Segregation Manager to lead the Cost Segregation practice across a portfolio of engagements. Based in any U.S. office including Portland, OR, you will partner with firm leadership to drive client success, mentor teams, and deliver engineering-based analyses.

The role emphasizes leadership, growth through business development, and collaboration with other service lines. You will review technical deliverables to ensure IRS compliance and manage engagement economics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, accounting, finance, architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of cost segregation, construction consulting, engineering, real estate valuation, or related discipline.
• CPA, EA, CCSP, or other relevant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cost segregation engagements for commercial, residential, and specialty real estate assets.
• Serve as the primary client contact and trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Review analyses, engineering reports, and final deliverables for IRS compliance and firm quality requirements.
• Oversee site inspections, cost analyses, and asset classifications performed by engagement teams.
• Drive practice growth through business development, referrals, and proposal development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to supervisors, senior associates, and associates.
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for additional advisory, tax, valuation, and real estate services.
• Collaborate with partners and leadership on business development and practice growth initiatives.
• Participate in client presentations, networking events, and thought leadership activities.
• Manage engagement economics, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Monitor tax law developments and IRS guidance impacting cost segregation services.
• Support recruiting, training, and career development within the practice.
