Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding Atlanta team, supporting construction cost services across a diverse portfolio including real estate developments, data centers, and civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities include advising clients, developing estimates, managing cost reporting, cost control, invoicing, and post-contract reviews. On-site presence is required; strong communication and RICS-leaning experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategies; manage prequalification of vendors; assess proposals, bids and bid leveling documents; present recommendations to clients.
• Develop project estimates covering construction, fees, direct costs; review estimates from junior staff; present to client; provide value engineering and risk assessments.
• Establish cost reporting schedules; review cost reports and forecasts; manage budget and spend forecast with client; maintain commercial risk register.
• Oversee cost control processes; review payment applications; assess change orders; liaise with project managers on entitlements.
• Monitor invoicing processes and benchmark performance against other commissions.
• Lead final accounting and post-contract audits; conduct post-contract lessons learned sessions.
• Prepare handover procedures; support project handovers and knowledge transfer.
• Utilize Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software.
