Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support large-scale data center construction projects in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The role focuses on cost management, commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, and collaboration with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a cost management, quantity surveying, or commercial role within the construction industry.
• Experience supporting medium to large-scale construction projects, preferably within mission-critical, data center, industrial, commercial, or similar complex environments.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• RICS accreditation is valued.
• Good knowledge of procurement strategies, value management, estimating, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Advising client on strategies, prequalification of vendors, assessing proposals and bids, and chairing bid interviews.
• Developing project estimates for construction, fees, direct costs, and other expenses; reviewing junior team estimations.
• Managing cost reporting, budgets, forecasts, and commercial risk registers; hosting periodic meetings.
• Overseeing cost control processes, payment assessments, change orders, and dispute prevention/management.
• Managing & monitoring invoicing processes and ensuring final accounting and post-contract audits.
