Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale data center program. You will lead cost estimation, reporting, and control for multi-building developments, interfacing with clients and vendors to maximize value and manage risk.

The role requires a background in construction cost management, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and ideally RICS accreditation. On-site work and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is valuable.
• Experience in cost management on medium to large construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, prequalification of vendors, proposals and bid leveling, and chair bid interviews.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees and other costs, review estimates by junior team members, present to client.
• Manage cost reporting, budgets, forecasts and risk registers; run meetings with project teams and vendors.
• Oversee cost control, review payment assessments, contractor entitlements, change orders and dispute resolution.
• Monitor invoicing processes and conduct final accounting and post-contract reviews.
• Develop handover procedures and support training materials from lessons learned.
• Utilize Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms and cost estimating software.
• Support SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
