Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to support international client projects from our Illinois office. You will conduct budget estimates, review designs, prepare BOQs, and manage procurement with a focus on value and risk control.

We require 3+ years of cost management experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and professional certifications (RICS/AACE). Fluent English and Spanish are essential, as are strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, CostX and AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience related to Engineering Cost Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or any degree relevant to the position.
• RICS, AACE Certifications/Memberships.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong Microsoft skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint, CostX, Knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a budget estimate to support a feasibility study, using parametric cost analysis.
• Review designs at Concept, SD, DD & IFC, and prepare quantity take-offs and a quantified BOQ.
• Prepare a cost estimate report with qualifications and present results to stakeholders including the Client.
• Manage procurement processes, implement procurement and contracting strategies and participate in negotiations.
• Verify change control processes, document changes in design, and process change orders for approval and budget adjustment.
