• Proven ability to manage cost variances, trends, commitments, and project forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost control activities across major pharmaceutical CAPEX projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and cash flow.
• Monitor actual vs. planned expenditure, commitments, trends, and variances.
• Provide accurate financial analysis and cost forecasting to support project decisions.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Project Management, and Finance teams.
• Support project performance reporting and provide clear cost insights to senior stakeholders.

Cost Manager / Cost Control Manager - Pharmaceutical CAPEX

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical organization delivering major capital investment and facility expansion projects in Indiana.

We’re looking for an experienced Cost Manager / Cost Control Manager to support the financial control and successful delivery of large-scale CAPEX projects. You’ll take ownership of project cost management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, working closely with project and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost control activities across major pharmaceutical CAPEX projects
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and cash flow
• Monitor actual vs. planned expenditure, commitments, trends, and variances
• Provide accurate financial analysis and cost forecasting to support project decisions
• Identify cost risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions
• Work closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Project Management, and Finance teams
• Support project performance reporting and provide clear cost insights to senior stakeholders

Key experience

• Proven Cost Engineering or Cost Control experience on large CAPEX projects
• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, industrial, or large-scale construction environments
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and financial analysis
• Proven ability to manage cost variances, trends, commitments, and project forecasts
• Experience supporting large CAPEX, EPC, or EPCM projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with cost management systems and/or Earned Value Management is desirable
