We Search People seeks a Cost Manager for a North Carolina manufacturing facility in Monroe. This on-site role focuses on cost planning, inventory control, month-end close, and reporting to operations to drive total cost down.

You will act as the go-to finance partner for the site, monitor inventory variances, support annual budgeting, and lead the physical inventory count with the plant team. relocation package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting and cost experience in manufacturing.
• Inventory transactions experience required.
• ERP experience in manufacturing (Oracle a plus).
• SQL experience preferred.
• Ability to explain finance concepts to non-financial managers.
• Ability to embrace and drive change.

I am seeking a Cost Manager to support my clients Production Facility of their Materials business unit based in North Carolina. This role will be responsible for assisting in the subject areas of operational rate development & maintenance, cost planning, analysis, month-end reporting and inventory transactions.

The role:

• You will be the \"go-to\" person at the facility for any financial information or analysis.


• Monitor inventory batches and resolve any variances as they progress through the facility.


• Assist in the annual planning process for variable and fixed costs, and the department expense budgets.


• Assist with month-end closing activities


• Site lead for annual physical inventory count and provide support for cycle count program


• Work with the plant finance team to understand cost variances and work toward driving total cost down.


• Generate monthly financial reporting and analytics to be reviewed with operations

What you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance


• 5+ years of accounting/cost experience in a manufacturing setting with previous experience with inventory transactions


• Accounting experience for a multi-location, midsize to large company


• ERP experience in a manufacturing setting (Oracle experience a plus)


• SQL experience (preferred)


• Ability to explain finance/accounting concepts in layman terms to non-financial managers


• Ability to embrace and drive change

Role will be based in North Carolina (Monroe), and 5 days on-site. For the right candidate, a strong relocation package will be on offer.
