Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, narratives for completeness and clarity.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for specified scopes of work.
• Self-review of work product.
• Ensure timely completion of estimating tasks, including overtime when necessary.
• Obtain budget pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Maintain quality service by following company standards.
• Compile questions and comments related to the project scope of work.
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks and file management.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and networking.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.

The Concord Group (Concord) is a leading development and construction consulting firm specializing in Owner’s Representation, Cost Estimating, Schedule Management, Infrastructure Management, Specialized Real Estate Services, Commissioning, Building Energy Management, Energy Modeling/Life Cycle Costs, Facility Condition Assessments and Sustainability Consulting. With offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, Columbus, Orlando, Melbourne and Las Vegas, we have provided services for over 30 years to educational institutions, governmental agencies, healthcare systems and the private commercial sector. We are looking for a Cost Estimator with 0-2 years’ experience to join our Milwaukee, WI office.

• Reviews drawings, specifications, narratives and supplemental information for completeness and clarity
• Prepare clear detailed quantity takeoffs for specified scopes of work to assist senior estimating team members
• Self-review of work product
• Ensure timely completion of estimating tasks including working overtime as necessary
• Obtain budget pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors
• Maintains quality service by following company standards
• Compiles questions & comments related to the project’s scope of work
• Perform day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files
• Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor
