Job summary

DPR Construction in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Estimator to deliver comprehensive cost estimates for moderately complex projects, supporting planning and bid processes. You will integrate market data, historical trends, and project drawings to inform pricing and risk assessments.

Collaborate with preconstruction, project managers, engineers, and procurement to assemble bids, pursue value engineering, and share knowledge across teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 4-5 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, project controls, or a related field required.
• Certifications and Licenses: None required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed and accurate project cost estimates for moderately complex projects, incorporating material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs from concept through final pricing.
• Extracts production data for planning, scope alignment, and integration of family of companies to support project deliverables.
• Reviews project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Coordinates with Precon Coordinators, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to assemble comprehensive bid packages, and provide clear instructions and clarifications to bidders.
• Analyzes market trends, vendor pricing, and historical data to inform estimate development and risk assessment.
• Contributes to value engineering efforts by analyzing cost impacts and proposing alternative materials, methods, or solutions to enhance project value.
• Supports estimate reviews and documentation by organizing assumptions, qualifications, and clarifications to promote transparency and alignment with project objectives.
