Job summary

ReLogic Research, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Pricing Analyst to translate engineering inputs into accurate, competitive cost estimates and quotes for defense contracts in aerospace manufacturing and engineering services.

You will lead RFQ responses, build cost models, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure compliant proposals under FAR, DCAA, and government cost principles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost estimating, quoting, or pricing in manufacturing or technical settings.
• Experience building cost models and pricing spreadsheets in Excel.
• Familiarity with DCAA, FAR cost principles, and defense contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to coordinate RFQs.

Pricing Analyst

At ReLogic Research, you won't be just another headcount. We're a tight-knit team of engineers, physicists, and technical professionals solving complex challenges in national defense — and we're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Cost Estimator who takes pride in building accurate, competitive quotes.

As an AS9100D-certified small business supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency, we operate across both precision aerospace manufacturing and engineering services. This role sits at the center of both — translating technical inputs from our engineering and manufacturing teams into winning proposals and quotes for defense customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for CNC machined aerospace components and engineering services in response to customer RFQs
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to gather technical inputs, validate assumptions, and build accurate cost models
• Build and maintain pricing models, rate structures, and quoting templates
• Manage the RFQ process from receipt through quote submission, ensuring timely and competitive responses
• Track quote activity, win/loss data, and pricing trends to continuously improve estimating accuracy
• Coordinate with purchasing on material costs and supplier quotes
• Support proposal development for engineering services contracts in compliance with government cost proposal requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating, quoting, or pricing in a manufacturing or technical environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience building cost models or pricing spreadsheets
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing RFQ processes and customer quote interactions
• Familiarity with DCAA compliance requirements and cost accounting standards as they apply to defense services contracts
• Experience navigating government cost proposal requirements including FAR cost principles, basis of estimate development, and cost volume preparation

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Contracts, or related field — or equivalent professional experience
• Experience estimating CNC machined parts or aerospace components
• Familiarity with ERP or quoting software systems
• Experience supporting defense or government contract proposals
• Understanding of labor rates, overhead, and margin structures in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with AS9100D or defense manufacturing environments
