Job summary

Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation seeks a Cost Estimator to integrate program cost requirements and align materiel development for system-of-systems projects. The role emphasizes ACEIT-based analysis, IGCE development, and life-cycle cost estimation in support of management decisions.

The candidate will analyze mission requirements, refine cost models, and provide documented estimates and financial reports to support budget and program decisions.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree with relevant cost analysis experience.
• Experience with evaluating projects to determine cost-effective solutions.
• Proficiency with ACEIT and cost estimation methodologies.
• Ability to refine cost models as technical baselines change.
• Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review cost analyses in ACEIT.
• Prepare estimates for changes in baselines (technical/funding).
• Develop life cycle cost estimates for programs.
• Support cost estimating and financial reconciliation activities.
• Provide IGCEs and defend methodologies with supporting docs.
• Produce detailed financial reports and cost factor analyses.
• Assist program management with cost factor evaluation and trade studies.
• Support POM planning cycle and budget projections.

We are seeking a highly innovative and motivated Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team supporting the Project Manager Formation Based Mission Autonomy project office. The Cost Estimator will ensure financial integration of programmatic requirements, both technical and sustainment requirements, and align materiel and capability development to enable effective system-of-systems development. This position requires a strategic critical thinker with exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review cost analyses in Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT)
• Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines
• Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models
• Provide supporting documents to for defending cost estimating methodologies
• Develop life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program
• Support contract cost estimating financial activities and processing reconciliations
• Routinely provide detailed financial reports and documentation
• Provide advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) to support program management needs
• Evaluate impacts on program based on direction and funding adjustments. Ability to support the POM planning cycle.

Required

• BS or BA Degree 5 of relevant experience providing cost analysis
• Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications
• Experience preparing IGCEs
• Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, alternative design, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals
• Must have a thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Proficient with ACEIT
• Familiarity with Army Acquisition Process Knowledge and skill in the application of policies, precedents, methods, and techniques of costing
• Ability to project future budgetary requirements based on historical information
• Some travel
• Must have an in-scope DoW Secret security clearance
