Job summary

Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation seeks an experienced Buyer to act as end-to-end purchasing facilitator, from sourcing to PO/subcontract issuance and compliance review.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, price analysis, and ensuring DCMA and FAR/DFAR compliance while supporting process improvements in the procurement lifecycle to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required.
• 3 years of related purchasing experience.
• Experience with DCMA-compliant purchasing systems and audits.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement functions including requirement solicitation, PO/subcontract placement and administration per company policies.
• Maintain compliant policies/procedures per DCMA and other regulatory authorities.
• Build and review procurement packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Review non-competitive awards, sole source justifications, bid packages and commercial item determinations.
• Prepare RFP packages and review responses.
• Conduct price or cost analysis to determine fair and reasonable pricing and negotiate terms.
• Ensure compliance activities for the company’s subcontractor and vendor base.
• Negotiate governing terms and drive process improvement initiatives to modernize purchasing.

We are seeking an experienced Buyer who will act as the end-to-end purchasing facilitator, from source selection review and documentation for compliance assurance to surveillance of the executed purchase order.

Responsibilities

• You will perform all procurement functions and will be responsible for requirement solicitation, placement and administration of purchase orders/subcontracts in compliance with company policies/procedures.
• You will maintain compliant policies/procedures in accordance with defined purchasing rules as published by DCMA and other applicable regulatory authorities.
• You will be involved in building and reviewing procurement packages for accuracy and adequate completion.
• You will review non-competitive award or sole source justifications, competitive bid packages, commercial item determinations, and make recommendations for approval.
• You will be involved in building request for proposal packages and reviewing responses.
• You will conduct price or cost analysis for a determination of fair and reasonable pricing and negotiate terms and conditions.
• You will be responsible for compliance activities on behalf of the company’s subcontractor and vendor base.
• You will be involved in negotiation of governing terms.
• Additionally, you will be involved in process improvement initiatives to modernize the overall purchasing process.

Requirements

• Negotiation Experience
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
