Job summary

Northern Engraving Corporation is seeking a Cost Estimator to organize cost estimation processes and analyze cost data. You will work with Engineering & Procurement to establish reference cost targets and support sales with reliable business cases.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI. You will operate in a fast-paced environment helping to optimize materials, processes, and tooling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field is required.
• Experience in cost estimation and budgeting is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering & Procurement teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze BOM, raw materials, process and tooling costs.
• Provide manufacturing cost estimation and business case for sales.

Reporting to Project Senior Manager, NBHX Trim North America, the Cost Estimator will organize a cost estimation process and analyze cost data with cost model.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the cost of BOM, raw materials, process and tooling according to engineering dataProvide the manufacturing cost estimation and business case analysis as base for sales team.Establish and improve the oversee cost model and databaseRegional responsibility to build cost model and member of cost benchmarkingAnalyze cost breakdowns from supplier request for quote (RFQ) and understand all cost influent factorsAutomotive mechanical design and/or BOM, manufacturing process. Financial knowledge and skillsWork with Engineering & Procurement teams during the new business quoting phase to establish reference cost targetsDevelop close technical relationships with suppliers to identify best cost solutions, including emerging technologies that provide cost improvementsOther duties and tasks as assignedSkills and QualificationsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with MS Excel, Power BI or related softwareBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field#NEIND1
