Job summary

The D.A. Collins Family of Companies in Wilton, NY is looking for a Cost Engineer II to join our finance and project teams. You will lead project cost setup, collect cost data, analyze trends, and present reports that highlight risks and variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3–6 years of cost engineering, project controls, or construction financial management experience.
• Strong cost tracking, forecasting, and revenue recognition knowledge.
• Analytical with ability to translate data into insights.
• Effective cross-functional communication and attention to detail.
• Experience with construction management and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Lead job setup with cost codes, budgets, and quantity tracking.
• Collect and analyze weekly production quantities and cost data.
• Develop and present weekly cost and production reports with risks and variances.
• Prepare monthly cost and revenue projections, including earned value.
• Identify discrepancies between cost, quantities, and schedule; resolve with teams.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide financial insights.
• Manage contract values, change orders, budgets transfers, and job cost adjustments.
• Support forecasting methodologies and reporting consistency.
• Assist in training Cost Engineer I team members.
• Collaborate with accounting and operations to align reporting and performance.
