Job summary

VoltaGrid, LLC is seeking a Cost Controller in Houston, TX to manage full lifecycle cost control for power infrastructure projects. You will drive budget development, commitment tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, change control, and project closeout, delivering timely cost intelligence to leadership and Finance.

The role requires advanced Excel, NetSuite/ERP experience, and a track record on large capital programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field.
5-10 years of cost control, project controls, or capital cost management experience.
Minimum 3 years supporting power, energy, utility, infrastructure projects and large capital programs.
Advanced Excel skills, pivot tables, variance analysis, and dashboard development.
Experience with ERP or project management systems; NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain the project cost baseline, budget breakdown, and control estimate.
Monitor committed costs, actual expenditure, and forecast-to-complete across EPCC phases.
Maintain cost accounts aligned to WBS and CBS structure.
Identify, investigate, and report cost variances; recommend corrective actions.
Review contractor progress claims, milestones, and change orders for cost impact.
Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports including actuals, commitments, forecasts, and variances.
Develop and maintain EAC and ETC forecasts; produce EVM reports.
Coordinate with Finance for cash flow, funding drawdowns, and cost risk analysis.
