Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Cost Engineering Specialist to join our Project Controls team in New York City. This role supports major transportation, transit, infrastructure, aviation, and capital programs by providing cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and earned value analysis.

The analyst will work with project managers, schedulers, estimators, and clients to ensure cost control and accurate reporting, applying best practices in project controls and data analysis to drive strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 4-7 years in cost engineering or project controls.
• Experience with transportation, infrastructure, aviation, or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost engineering, forecasting, EVM, and risk management.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Track expenditures, accruals, and budget utilization with variance analysis.
• Support EVM reporting and project performance analysis.
• Assist with cost risk assessments and change management.
• Prepare recurring cost reports and dashboards for leadership and clients.
