Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Sunrise, FL is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our cost containment team. You will analyze high-cost medication orders, perform reviews for safe and cost-effective therapy, and communicate findings to physicians and facility staff.

The role emphasizes strong clinical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with ECM/Framework software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Pharmacist
• Long Term Care or Hospital experience preferred
• Strong clinical, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Microsoft Excel knowledge a must
• Framework/ECM software knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify cost-saving opportunities through therapeutic interchange while ensuring patient safety
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to assess drug selection, dosage, administration, interactions, and cost-effective therapy
• Recommend therapy changes and therapeutic interchange options to physicians and facility staff
• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness and potential interactions
• Communicate effectively via phone and email
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports
• Complete tasks assigned by Cost Containment supervisor
