Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Florida to support cost containment initiatives and review high-cost medication orders. The role involves therapeutic interchanges, clinical reviews, and collaboration with physicians and facility staff.

Onsite shift from 8:00am to 4:30pm with rotating weekends/holidays; LTC or hospital experience preferred; strong Excel skills are a plus. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist state of Florida.
• State licenses beyond FL (PA, AL, OH, GA, NY) are a plus.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Hospital settings preferred.
• Strong clinical, analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify cost-saving opportunities via therapeutic interchange while ensuring patient safety.
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to assess drug selection, dosage, administration, interactions, and cost-effective therapy.
• Recommend appropriate therapy changes and interchanges to physicians and facility staff.
• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Communicate effectively via phone and email.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports.
• Complete any other task assigned by Cost Containment supervisor.

• Recommend appropriate therapy changes and therapeutic interchange options to physicians and facility staff.
• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration
• Communicate effectively via, phone, and email.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports.
• Complete any other task assigned by the Cost Containment supervisor.

Qualifications
