Job summary

Social Capital Resources is seeking a Cost Basis Operations Associate for a rapidly growing hedge fund in New York. You will support front-to-back trade processing, ensure accurate cost basis capture on in-kind transfers, and coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, and PMs.

The role emphasizes daily reconciliations of trades, positions, cash, and tax lots, and resolving DTC issues in real time to prevent settlement or tax reporting impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4-7 years experience trading operations or fund operations
• 2+ years experience with DTC
• 2+ years experience with Cost Basis
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle
• Experience working with Prime Brokers on daily reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Support front-to-back trade execution and ensure accurate processing.
• Own end-to-end processing of in-kind security movement via DTC.
• Coordinate with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties for delivery/receipt.
• Support high-volume, TLH-driven trading and harvesting events.
• Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, cash, and tax lots.
• Preserve tax lots and cost basis across in-kind transfers with PMs and fund admins.
• Investigate DTC transfer rejects and discrepancies and escalate to avoid issues.
