Job summary

CFS is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Millersburg, OH team on-site. The role focuses on partnering with plant leadership to influence operations through cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve processes, analyze manufacturing metrics, and support month-end close. Requires manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to build financial models and performance analyses.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Plex, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing metrics including labor efficiency, material costs, scrap, inventory, overhead, throughput, freight, and cost per unit.
• Perform standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and ROI/business case evaluations.
• Investigate operational and financial trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, capital analysis, reporting, dashboards, and performance modeling.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by quantifying savings opportunities and validating financial results.
