Job summary

Mativ in Munising, MI is seeking a Cost Analyst to provide costing and analytical support to our operations at the Munising site. You will also support the Finance Manager and Business Analysts with forecasting, reporting and process improvements.

The role emphasizes cost control, standard costing, BOM maintenance, ERP system knowledge, and data-driven decision making to drive manufacturing efficiency and accuracy across monthly closes and cost reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting/finance or analytics experience.
• Experience with financial reports, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Requires Microsoft Excel skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent.
• Equivalency of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial, business and process analytics to enable operations to achieve objectives.
• Support cost saving initiatives by partnering with Operations and tracking savings.
• Review and update standard costs and BOMs and develop asset rates.
• Support month-end closing with journal entries and variance reviews.
• Develop knowledge of Oracle ERP costing, accounting and inventory systems.
• Provide KPI and performance reporting for all areas.
• Lead monthly cost review packages and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide financial planning and forecasting for the Munising site.
• Provide cost estimates for Outside Converting activities.
• Provide forecasting of Cost of Manufacturing for Munising.
