Job summary

Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials, with a focus on Munising, MI. The Cost Analyst will support costing, forecasting, and financial analytics for the Munising site, partnering with Operations and Finance to drive cost improvements.

The role requires a finance or accounting background, solid Excel skills, and experience in manufacturing settings. The candidate will contribute to month-end close, cost reviews, and KPI reporting, ensuring SOX/NPI compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
• 2–5 years of accounting, finance, or business analytics experience.
• Experience with financial reports, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide costing and analytical support to the Munising operations.
• Support cost saving initiatives by partnering with Operations and tracking savings.
• Review and update standard costs and BOMs; develop standard asset rates.
• Support process initiatives to improve performance.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely month-end closing.
• Assist with monthly closing by reviewing jobs, results, and journal entries.
• Develop working knowledge of Oracle ERP costing, accounting, and inventory systems.
• Ensure reporting aligns with NPI and SOX compliance requirements.
• Provide KPI and performance reporting for all areas of responsibility.
• Prepare monthly cost review packages; update Munising KPIs and drive action items.
• Provide financial planning and forecasting to meet business needs.
• Forecast Munising's Cost of Manufacturing.
• Provide analysis for Outside Converting activities and timely cost estimates.
