Job summary

Eastman in Kingsport, Tennessee seeks a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join the finance team. You will analyze cost structures, support forecasting and budgeting, and deliver insights that improve profitability and efficiency across products and business units.

Responsibilities include cost data collection, standard costing, variance analyses, and collaboration with Operations and Procurement to reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and modeling.
• ERP and BI tool experience (e.g., SAP, Power BI) preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to convey technical information.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting concepts (standard costing, overhead).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and maintain cost data across products and units.
• Prepare cost analyses including product costing, margin, variance analysis.
• Support monthly close activities related to cost accounting entries.
• Develop and maintain cost models and standard cost systems.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning analyses.
• Produce reports and presentations for Finance leadership.
• Support ERP/BI tools implementation and process improvements.
• Document processes and cost accounting controls for data integrity.
