MITRE seeks an intermediate Cost Analyst to join our Acquisition Affordability and Business Analytics Department. You will build models, perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, and translate results into actionable recommendations for multi-project sponsor work.

You will collect financial data, develop life-cycle cost estimates, and apply regression and forecasting techniques to assess cost, affordability, and economic impacts across diverse programs. On-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifikationen

• This role typically requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related experience or an advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Fields include Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science/Analytics, or Quantitative Sciences.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to handle data analyses and reporting.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance and US citizenship.

Aufgaben

• Develop models and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses to understand cost/economic/financial impact of investments and related strategies.
• Collect and analyze financial, cost, and economic data across projects.
• Develop program baselines and life-cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) with risk, uncertainty, and sensitivity analyses.
• Create innovative cost-estimating techniques for a broad range of cost elements and support source selection with IGCEs.
• Conduct data-driven analyses, market research, and policy reviews; communicate findings clearly to sponsors.
• Apply exploratory data analysis, time series analysis, and regression techniques; visualize results for stakeholders.
• Support on-site collaboration with sponsors; work on multiple projects with limited supervision.
