Job summary

Van Drunen Farms, part of the Van Drunen Family of Companies, is seeking a Financial Analyst to analyze expenses, cost transactions, and financial data across projects and departments to ensure accurate reporting and proper cost allocation.

You will prepare detailed analyses, support cost reviews (MUV, PPV, labor costs, yield variances), and collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Accounting to propose improvements to BOMs and routings while leveraging FP&A tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Two or more years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Cost Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze expenses, cost transactions, and financial data to ensure accurate reporting and proper allocation of costs across projects and departments.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports, including project cost evaluations, expense forecasts, variance analysis, and cost-saving recommendations.
• Support monthly manufacturing cost reviews by analyzing material usage variances (MUV), purchase price variances (PPV), labor costs, yield variances, and other operational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to investigate significant variances and recommend updates to bills of material and production routings.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of financial planning, forecasting, business intelligence, and reporting tools, including Adaptive FP&A systems.
• Support ad hoc reporting, special projects, and the preparation of financial reporting packages for leadership and key stakeholders.
