Job summary

Van Drunen Farms is seeking a Financial Analyst to analyze expenses, cost data, and performance metrics in a hybrid role based in Momence, IL. The position offers an expected pay range of $73k-$83k and requires a minimum of 2 years in a similar analytical role.

You'll partner with Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to improve cost reporting, BOM accuracy, and production routings, while leveraging FP&A tools for planning and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Cost Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present financial information clearly.

• Analyze expenses, cost transactions, and financial data for accurate reporting and proper cost allocation.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports including project cost evaluations and variance analysis.
• Support monthly manufacturing cost reviews by analyzing variances and cost metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Accounting to investigate variances and update bills of materials and routings.
• Assist in development of FP&A tools, planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
• Support ad hoc reporting and leadership-ready financial packages.

Expected Pay Range: $73k-$83K, exempt

Bonus: This role may further qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of bonus and incentive programs, contingent upon achieving pre-established individual and company performance metrics.

What You'll Do

Analyze expenses, cost transactions, and financial data to ensure accurate reporting and proper allocation of costs across projects and departments.

Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports, including project cost evaluations, expense forecasts, variance analysis, and cost-saving recommendations.

Support monthly manufacturing cost reviews by analyzing material usage variances (MUV), purchase price variances (PPV), labor costs, yield variances, and other operational performance metrics.

Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to investigate significant variances and recommend updates to bills of material and production routings.

Assist in the development and enhancement of financial planning, forecasting, business intelligence, and reporting tools, including Adaptive FP&A systems.

Support ad hoc reporting, special projects, and the preparation of financial reporting packages for leadership and key stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Two or more years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Cost Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.

Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence reporting tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.

High level of professionalism, integrity, adaptability, and ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.
