Job description

Technical Source is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst II for our partner that focuses on Pharmaceutical construction. Ideally, this candidate would be located in the Raleigh, NC area to work a hybrid schedule. However, remote work is a possibility. Potential travel to job site 1-2 times per month. We are seeking an experienced Cost Analyst II to oversee financial management, cost control, and budgeting for large-scale construction projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for labor and expense planning, cost forecasting, and risk mitigation, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and financial risks are minimized. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure financial transparency and compliance with cost control policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost management and a thorough understanding of the construction project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor and expense plans and develop accurate cost forecasts using project management and accounting systems
• Track and analyze project expenses, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure adherence to approved budgets. Identify variances and develop corrective actions
• Generate and present comprehensive reports, including earned value management (EVM), cash flow analysis, and budget variance reports to key stakeholders
• Monitor vendor contracts, payments, and financial deliverables to ensure they align with project budgets and timelines

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in cost analysis or project controls, preferably within the construction or related industries. Pharmaceutical construction experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field
