Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance our cost accounting functions. You will design and maintain cost systems, standards, and procedures to improve margin analysis and financial planning.

The role requires a strong background in cost accounting, leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-department collaboration while guiding a team toward accurate reporting and on-time month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a managerial role.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Strong analytical and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the cost accounting department and system design.
• Develop cost standards for materials and labor.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate standard costs with other departments.
• Analyze costs and potential savings.
• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Review inventory and margin reports for profitability.
• Manage month-end close for inventory and COGS.
• Supervise and mentor cost accounting staff.
