Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Costing Accounting Manager for a well-established manufacturing organization in the Chillicothe, Ohio area. You will lead cost accounting, support financial decision-making, and drive operational profitability by partnering closely with plant leadership and senior management.

The role oversees standard costing, inventory control, variance analysis, budgeting, and audits, while mentoring accounting staff and ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations.
• Analyze product costs, manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and inventory performance.
• Develop and maintain standard costing systems and procedures.
• Lead monthly inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports for plant and corporate leadership.
• Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Assist with audits and internal control initiatives.
