A growing manufacturing firm in Dayton, OH is looking for a Cost Accountant. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing and recording manufacturing and inventory transactions, and will prepare various financial reports. Candidates should have experience in cost accounting, proficiency in Excel, and knowledge of GAAP. The position offers a competitive salary of up to $90k plus a 10% bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cost Accounting at a manufacturing company is preferred.
• Proficient with Excel functionalities.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is needed.

Position Overview

Our client, a growing medical device/industrial manufacturing company in the greater Dayton, OH area is looking for a Cost Accountant.

• Prepare, analyze and record all manufacturing and inventory related transactions
• Reviews standard and actual costs for price variances
• Maintains accurate inventory files and prepares monthly reports
• Prepare weekly manufacturing efficiency and productivity reports
• Prepares reports concerning operational analysis and performance such as rework analysis, scrap trend analysis, warranty analysis, sales and margin analysis
• Review, analyze and maintain standard cost updates
• Conduct audits of cycle counting process
• Assists with year-end and interim financial audits

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Cost Accounting at a manufacturing company
• Proficient with Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with MRP systems
• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or related
