Job summary

Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to own core cost accounting processes in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

You will manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and the month-end close, partnering with Manufacturing Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Production to ensure accurate, auditable cost reporting. You should be deeply knowledgeable in GAAP cost accounting, possess strong Excel and ERP experience (NetSuite preferred), and excel at cross-functional

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of accounting experience, including significant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, including cost roll-ups, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Strong grasp of GAAP and cost accounting principles for inventory and COGS, and of inventory management practices.
• Experience owning month-end close activities for inventory and cost accounting.
• Understanding of how data flows between production, MES, and ERP systems (e.g., PMS, MES, and ERP).
• Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques.
• Ability to streamline and automate complex processes.
• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
• NetSuite experience (preferred) or other accounting ERP experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own standard costing process and maintain standard costs in the ERP, including cost roll-ups and overhead Rates.
• Own inventory valuation and related GAAP reporting.
• Own month-end close activities for inventory and cost accounting with reconciliations and journals.
• Analyze variances (price, usage, labor, overhead) and explain discrepancies to senior management.
• Ensure ERP data integrity across PMS, MES, and ERP systems.
• Coordinate overhead pools and raw material standard costs with Finance partners.
• Work with Production and Engineering to understand variances and improve inventory flow.
• Define standards of excellence for cost accounting and implement controls for audit readiness.
• Drive process improvements and automation across production and cost accounting processes.
• Provide financial analysis of manufacturing costs, inventory, and expenses to support leadership decisions.
• Support audits and technical accounting on inventory and cost accounting.
• Identify risks to cost accuracy and address them proactively.
