Pierce Manufacturing, part of Oshkosh Corporation, is seeking a student intern to support finance, accounting and business analytics. You will help with reporting and cost analysis, contributing to month‑end close and process improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with inventory costs, standard costing, and asset accounting, with opportunities to build Excel models and collaborate across departments in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Must be available to work full time during summer and part‑time during the school year.
• Proactive communicator with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assignment of tasks that support the business through finance processes.
• Support inventory closing processes.
• Review and verify vendor and customer statements and perform follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate standard costs of inventory.
• Assist in costing trucks and preparing month‑end reporting.
• Assist with Fixed Asset accounting.
• Assist with various reports (Operations Reporting, Inventory Movement, Purchasing Variances).
• Create Excel files using business metric information.
• Improve processes by eliminating non‑value‑added work and enabling the use of technology.
• Other projects and assignments as agreed with your leader.
