Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Cost Accountant, SOX Controls, to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting for a manufacturing operation in Kalamazoo, MI. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Shared Services, Internal Audit, and external auditors to strengthen SAP-supported controls and support close and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year in cost or revenue accounting, audit, or internal controls in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with inventory accounting and high-volume finance transactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal-control requirements
• Coordinate audits with internal and external teams to meet deadlines
• Execute SOX testing and reporting for SAP general controls and related processes
• Prepare audit workpapers, document procedures, and communicate findings to management
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and Shared Services to support walkthroughs and analytics
• Advise project teams on SAP S/4HANA governance, risk, and compliance
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities including GL loads and site analytics
• Review revenue, inventory, and booking activity for accuracy and policy compliance
• Maintain key-control documentation and evidence for audit readiness
• Drive continuous-improvement of decentralized processes and control effectiveness
