Global manufacturing company is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its Finance team in New Jersey as part of a major finance transformation. The role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, and POC accounting, partnering with operations and engineering to centralize accounting and reporting functions.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and ERP experience (M3 preferred).

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with cost accounting and Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• ERP experience; M3 is highly preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support POC accounting, revenue recognition, and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and general ledger reviews.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and support the finance transformation.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, ERP enhancements, and cross-functional projects.
• Support day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, fixed assets, and reporting.
