CFS in Glenview, IL is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role offers high visibility and the chance to influence cost controls and profitability across our global manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years cost accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems and GAAP. Excellent data analysis and tech-savvy capabilities are essential.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting software and ERP systems.
• Understanding of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Operations Finance Manager as an assistant/backup.
• Assist with month-end closing, inventory evaluation, and roll-forward analysis.
• Maintain the inventory relief process for subcomponents and high-level parts.
• Conduct quarterly physical inventories and cycle counts, resolving variances.
• Set up and update standard costs for manufactured goods.
• Analyze cost accounting data to identify areas for improvement.
• Establish cost structures for business processes, including labor, administration, and shipping.
• Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to enhance cost efficiency and maximize profit.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Handle special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
