Job summary

Beacon Hill is actively seeking a cost accounting professional to support manufacturing cost analysis, standard costing, and month-end close activities in Santa Clara, CA. You will partner with operations to drive cost improvements and ensure GAAP compliance.

The role requires 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite). CMA progress is a plus and Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP) and strong analytical abilities.
• CMA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and COGS.
• Maintain standard costing and perform variance analysis for labor, materials, and overhead.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory valuation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Partner with operations and production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track production variances and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
• Support annual standard cost updates and product costing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
