Job summary

Anord Mardix in Henrico VA is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. You will prepare and maintain accounting records, analyze variances, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CA, CGA or similar are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review P&L postings and ensure adherence to policy, process, and procedures.
• Analyze actual vs forecast/quote variances and record adjustments.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report findings.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger schedules and investigate variances.
• Identify potential risks from recurring account reviews and mitigate.
• Ensure timely close and reporting activities with accuracy.
• Assist in forecast and budget preparation for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations to drive improvements in financial metrics.
• Maintain familiarity with Controllers Handbook and relevant regulatory requirements.

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Cost Accountant to our Finance team in Henrico VA

In this role you will be In charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
