• U.S. CPA required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years at Big 4.
• Public company experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue and technical accounting, enforcing policy.
• Analyze contracts for ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Manage revenue recognition process from negotiation to disclosure.
• Resource for technical accounting on revenue, inventory, customer accounting.
• Conduct global training on technical accounting topics.
• Assist consolidation of global ledgers to ensure US GAAP and SEC compliance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, year-end closing processes and analytics.
• Oversee SOX compliance related responsibilities.
• Correspond with auditors and provide schedules.
• Lead special CAO/VP Controller projects as requested.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications.

We are seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting and Revenue Recognition to join our Accounting team at SpinCo. This position will report into our Director, Technical Accounting and Revenue Recognition. This position will be based in Austin, TX.

What a typical day looks like:

• Own revenue and technical accounting, and be responsible for maintaining and enforcing the company’s accounting and revenue recognition policy
• Analyze and interpret complex contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
• Manage the revenue recognition process from the contract negotiation phase to financial statement disclosure
• Act as a resource for technical accounting matters, particularly in the areas of revenue recognition, inventory, and various customer related accounting
• Conduct global training sessions on technical accounting topics
• Assist and participate in the consolidation of the company’s global ledgers to ensure compliance with US GAAP and all SEC external reporting requirements
• Assist and participate in the monthly, quarterly and year end closing processes including certain commentaries/analytics on critical accounts including accruals, revenue, operating profit, etc.
• Oversee and participate in general departmental specific responsibilities relating to compliance with the internal control requirements of SOX
• Correspond directly with internal and external auditors and provide requested schedules to auditors to support necessary audit requirements
• Support/lead special projects for CAO, VP Controller, as requested

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

• U.S. CPA required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years’ experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm
• Experience with a public traded company is preferred
