Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Cost Analyst to support residential modular product lines. You will maintain BOMs, collect material cost data, and help ensure accurate cost reporting.

Responsibilities include analyzing fixed and variable costs, reviewing standard vs actual costs, forecasting monthly/quarterly/annual costs, and assisting with month-end inventory. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of manufactured homes are essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of residential construction concepts and techniques.
• In-depth understanding of manufactured homes business.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, especially VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Collect material cost information and maintain BOM for multiple residential modular products.
• Recommend required price changes to maintain cost percentages.
• Determine fixed costs (e.g., model requirements).
• Plan for and record variable costs (materials and labor).
• Review standard vs actual costs for inaccuracies.
• Analyze and report BOM margins.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cost forecasts.
• Assist in month-end and quarter-end inventory.
• Identify and propose cost-effective solutions.

• Maintain proper cost percentage by recommend required price changes
• Determine fixed costs (e.g. Model requirements, Mandatory options)
• Plan for and record variable costs (e.g. raw material and labor costs)
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
• Analyze and report BOM margins
• Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
• Assisting in month-end and quarter-end inventory
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

Requirements and skills

• Thorough knowledge of residential construction concepts and techniques
• In-depth understanding of manufactured homes business
• Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
